Course content and objectives

Development planners and NGOs are increasingly committed to incorporating a gender perspective into their programmes. However, many face challenges in its practical and systematic application to their work. This course will enable you to analyse and plan development programmes from a gender equality perspective, and to mainstream gender issues effectively throughout your practice.

At the end of the course, participants will:

  • Have explored the relationship between gender and development
  • Be better equipped to select and use gender analysis frameworks and tools, and to plan their work taking into account gender roles and needs
  • Have acquired methods of creating gender awareness within development practice.
