Towards Inclusive Roma Programming

INTRAC's Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) programme in Central and Eastern Europe aimed to engage with Roma NGOs and the communities they serve. In the Decade of Roma Inclusion (2005-2015), INTRAC aimed to strengthen the capacity of Roma NGOs to effectively monitor the programmes designed to benefit their constituencies.

The programme operated on three levels:

directly with Roma NGOs and their constituencies in the design of contextually relevant M&E systems
at an intermediary level in the training of Roma Managers and Trainers
at the policy level in lobbying governments and inter-governmental institutions.

We worked in collaboration with Minority Rights Group , IQ Roma Servis (Czech Republic) and Romani Baht (Bulgaria) on programme activities, and designing and delivering M&E training for Roma representatives.
