Achievements and learnings

The main achievements of the programme were:

Strengthened capacity building providers such as CABUNGO and CSO coalitions including MEJN and CISANET
Provision of high quality capacity building services to NGO support organisations (OD, management development, monitoring and evaluation systems development and staff formation)
Development of an innovative M&E system for capacity building
Facilitating the establishment of a local CSO policy research institute (IPRAD)
Leadership development: 100 per cent pass rate for 45 students on the NGO Management distance learning course from the University of London
Raising and exploring issues of HIV/AIDS and capacity building: both within Malawi and also globally
A series of Capacity Building through Reading workshops
