Central Asia

INTRAC is continuing a programme of institutional development of civil society in Central Asia.

The programme aims to:

Significantly strengthen the capacity, independence and effectiveness of targeted NGOs
Contribute to the development of a vibrant, effective and independent civil society.

We do this through training courses, conferences, consultancy, research, evaluating organisations and their programmes, and focusing on new approaches to community development.

From our regional office in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, we have worked with established partners across five countries within the region – Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan – since 1994, with the goal of increasing participation by local people and between CSOs, local government and donor agencies.
