Cypriot Civil Society Strengthening Programme
INTRAC and our partners in Cyprus The Management Centre and NGO Support Centre are carrying out an 18-month programme of support for the development of civil society across Cyprus, which began in January 2007. The programme aims to contribute to:
- Strengthened role of civil society as a crucial actor in deepening citizen dialogue within and across communities and participation in decisions affecting the island's development.
- Strengthened, sustainable local capacity building support provision in Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot communities.
There are four main ways you can get involved:
- Open Training for Cypriot CSOs:
If you are involved with a Cypriot CSO and would be interested in participating, please just get in touch to find out more!
- Tailor-made Technical Assistance for Cypriot CSOs:
The Programme also offers tailor-made technical support to CSOs across Cyprus, responding to individual CSO needs
- Long-term Capacity Building Support:
The Programme is working with 15-20 organisations across Cyprus to support the development of their organisational capacity
- Dialoguing Events for Civil Society and Non-CSO Actors:The Programme is convening a range of events workshops, conferences, roundtables, public events to promote exchange of ideas, and knowledge on a range of critical issues facing Cyprus civil society.
