Nigel Simister

Nigel Simister is an international development consultant, specialising in monitoring and evaluation, particularly the design, implementation and maintenance of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems.

Since becoming an Associate of INTRAC, Nigel has carried out work on M&E systems for a variety of different organisations, including Irish Aid, Save the Children Sweden, WaterAid, Concern, Trocaire, VSO and Transparency International. He has also designed and delivered training courses on M&E and impact assessment.

Prior to his involvement with INTRAC, Nigel worked for three years as a VSO volunteer in Bangladesh. He has also worked in the advocacy department of ActionAid and as head of M&E at BESO.

Nigel has a Masters degree in Development Studies from the University of Bath. As well as being an Associate of INTRAC, he is the champion for the Praxis monitoring and evaluation of capacity building programme.
