Rachel joined INTRAC in August 2009 and is working on INTRAC’s training programme, HIV/AIDS in the workplace learning group and the Praxis programme.

Prior to joining the INTRAC team, Rachel worked in Zambia for three years through Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO). During this time she worked on organisation development, resource mobilisation, information and communications, and advocacy with local Zambian organisations involved in responding to HIV and AIDS. She also supported organisations working with vulnerable, orphaned and street children. Rachel has also spent 2 years working in regional government in the UK on housing policy and other regional strategies, and worked for six months in Malaysian Borneo on conservation and teaching projects.

Rachel has an MA in Development Studies from the University of East Anglia and a BA in Politics from Durham University and has undertaken several courses in organisation development, budget tracking and monitoring, equality and diversity, and participatory methodologies for development work.
