Rowan Popplewell

Research Assistant

Rowan joined INTRAC in August 2011. She works as a Research Assistant for INTRAC's Research Department, primarily on INTRAC's NGO Research Programme.

Prior to joining INTRAC, Rowan worked at the Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund (SCIAF) as a Policy Officer where she was responsible for research, policy and advocacy work on a range of issues including conflict, climate change and the private sector.

Most recently, Rowan completed an MSc in Violence, Conflict and Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, where she focussed on civil society in conflict-affected and post-conflict areas, gender-based violence, and children and young people's experiences of conflict. Rowan also holds a BA (Hons.) in Development Studies and Politics from SOAS, University of London.
