Training style and methodology was excellent. The balance between theory and practical application was just right. Simply great – well done.
One of INTRAC's core roles within the development sector is to deliver high quality training. We specialise in areas such as monitoring and evaluation (including impact assessment), capacity building, organisation development, gender and advocacy and many more.
Download our new training brochure for courses taking place between September 2013 and July 2014.
INTRAC is offering a new form of training we are calling 'blended learning' which allows participants to attend the course remotely using webinar and other online technologies. See the Blended learning page for more details.
We are now also offering a limited number of bursaries on our Open Training courses. See the Training Bursary Scheme page for details.
INTRAC training offers:
- valuable learning, support and guidance from our highly experienced trainers and practitioners
- a rich cross-cultural environment for exchanging experiences with others working in the sector worldwide
- models and practical tools - tried and tested by our consultants and practitioners - which can be used in the workplace
- participatory methods of learning and opportunities to input into the content of the course .
In the last three years, course participants have come from 324 different organisations, and from 111 countries around the world. Participants include staff from international and local NGOs, donor organisations, support organisations, civil society umbrella bodies, and researchers and consultants.
Method of learning
Our training is participatory. We use a variety of methods based on action learning principles such as case studies, group work, role play and peer support. This is complimented by presentations on relevant theoretical frameworks and emergent thinking and trends.
Most of INTRAC's courses are based in Oxford. Famed around the world as an historic centre for learning, Oxford provides the perfect environment for participants to take time away from their busy lives, reflect on their work and learn. All course accommodation is ensuite and with easy access to the city centre. There are direct coaches to Oxford from London airports and it is only one hour from central London on the train.
All of our courses and more are available as tailor-made courses which can be delivered at a time and place to suit your organisation's needs. Please contact Paula Haddock, Training Manager on +44 (0) 1865 263055 so that we can discuss how we can best meet your needs.
Training in Central Asia
As part of our Central Asia programme, we also run courses in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. Training is delivered simultaneously in English and Russian. Find out more about course details and fees.
