Visa applications
Nationals of some countries need to have a visa or entry certificate to enter the UK. We strongly advise you to check your specific country requirements at your local British Embassy, High Commission or Consulate.
Here is our advice with regard to applying for a visa (INTRAC is not in a position to provide country specific advice):
- Training applicants needing a visa should apply for a ‘student visitor’ visa. More information about this visa category can be found on the UK Border Agency website.
- Upon applying you may be asked if INTRAC is an accredited training institution. INTRAC is accredited as a non-collegiate provider by the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education.
- You should also ensure that you have up to date comprehensive travel insurance (including medical insurance where applicable) to cover your travel and stay in the UK.
INTRAC’s support to participant’s visa applications:
INTRAC can provide a letter in support of a visa application. We can only provide a letter on receipt of the following documentation from the applicant:
- Detailed course application form. Work/organisational email addresses should be supplied where possible.
- Full payment of the training course fees. Payment can be made by credit card or bank transfer. For those paying by bank transfer, at least five working days should be allowed for the funds to clear into the INTRAC account. If your organisation is paying for your course, you must provide us with the contact details of your finance/accounts department (email and phone number).
- A scanned copy of their passport photo page and any other relevant pages (e.g. passport extension pages).
Once we have received this documentation, we will issue one official visa support letter. This letter will be emailed to the applicant. INTRAC cannot fax or email letters to embassies, high commissions or consulates.
You must keep INTRAC informed of your visa application progress. Please read our cancellation policy carefully and notify us immediately if your visa application is not successful.
Once you have received your visa to travel to the UK and informed INTRAC, full joining instructions for the course will be sent out.
