1. What is included in the training fees?
The fee for the three-day courses (£450) includes training materials, lunch and refreshments during the course. Accommodation is not included but we can provide information where to stay nearby.
The fee for the five-day courses (£999) includes accommodation (4 nights), training materials, and meals during the course.
2. What is the cost of the five-day course if I am not staying at the place?
If you prefer to arrange your own accommodation when coming to a five-day course, we can offer a non-residential fee which is £749.
3. Can INTRAC arrange my accommodation if I want to stay longer at the place?
Unfortunately, you will have to arrange your own accommodation since INTRAC has a special arrangement with the venue and cannot ensure reservations or INTRAC's prices.
4. At what time does the course start?
Three-day courses start at 9am and finish at 5.15pm. Only the first day starts at 9.15am, but registration is at 9am.
Five-day courses start at 9.15am and finish at 5.15pm. Because a lot of the participants arrive on the same day, except on the first day (Monday) registration is at 11.30am and the course starts after lunch at 1.30pm. On Friday, the last day, it finishes at 3.30pm so you can catch your flight on the same day.
5. Where are the courses when held in the UK?
Three-day courses are always in London and those that are for five days are in Oxford, where INTRAC is located. Oxford is only an hour away from London.
6. Does INTRAC provide scholarships?
Unfortunately, INTRAC cannot provide scholarships. The training programme is self-sustained and we do not have any grant fund to subsidise applicants. You may want to contact the British Council or your donor to come to our courses.
7. Are there any preparation materials that we need to read in advance before the course starts?
No, unless we ask you and in that case, we will send you the reading material.
8. Who is elegible for the training courses?
International NGOs, local NGOs, umbrella organisations, academics, donors or anyone who is interested in working in the development and relief sectors from all over the world!
9. I want in-house training, who should I contact?
Email Ingrid Kamikazi or call +44 (0)1865 263040
10. How can I prepare myself for the training?
Think about questions or problems you would like help with. Your trainer and fellow delegates may be able to bring a new perspective, and sharing real-life examples facilitates the transfer of knowledge to your workplace. INTRAC can always provide further training or consultancy if you need further assistance following your return to work.
11. Does INTRAC provide training in languages other than English?
Yes, some courses (for in-house training) can be in Spanish, Portuguese or French.
