Members of the Board of Trustees
We are looking for new members to strengthen our current Board of Trustees. We invite offers from those with a knowledge of and commitment to our field. The duties involve participation in four Board meetings in Oxford a year. There are also possibilities to serve on ad hoc sub-committees, help with staff organisational learning sessions, and attend key events on behalf of INTRAC. Members are elected for three years initially.
Chair of the Board of Trustees
We are looking for a new Chair of the Board of Trustees. The Chair will be expected to ensure good practice, certain legal obligations, and financial prudence are followed. They will also have a key role in promoting INTRAC’s vision and mission to external audiences.
We are looking for people who have previous experience of strategic planning, experience in a trustee or similar role, experience of the third sector and a commitment to INTRAC’s core values.
Honorary Treasurer of the Board
The Treasurer will be expected to maintain an overview of the organisation’s financial affairs; ensure its financial viability; and ensure that proper financial records and procedures are maintained.
We are looking for someone with experience in a trustee or scrutiny role, experience in strategic and financial planning, and understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship.
Our particular interests at this time
For all these roles, we would be particularly interested in applicants who have experience in finance, company or charitable law, consultancies management, fundraising experience or civil society action in Africa, Asia or Latin America, or related academic disciplines. Offers from members of minority communities with roots in the developing world would be especially welcome as we look to bring diversity to our Board.
