Linking Research and Practice - Sharing Solutions

The Praxis Programme is about enabling civil society organisations to become more effective by linking theory and practice - researchers and practitioners - in the field of organisational capacity building. It is about giving practitioners with hands-on experience in different cultures and contexts an opportunity to share the solutions they develop in the course of their work.

  • The 1st phase of the programme ran from 2003 to 2007 with funding from the Dutch foreign ministry. The 1st phase explored different dimensions of capacity building such as organisational development, leadership and cross-cultural management. Read more about the previous thematic areas

  • The 2nd phase of the programme started in 2008 and explores the impacts of HIV/AIDS in the workplace

  • If you want to get involved in the current thematic area email hferguson@intrac.org

Our much appreciated Praxis series continues to encourage practitioners to document their experiences and learning. You can download the Praxis Publications for free.

Search the Praxis Directory of Support Providers for organisations involved in capacity building in your region. You can also add your own organisation!
