Programmes

INTRAC's programmes take a longer-term, proactive approach to our role of supporting other civil society organisations. We work in partnership with organisations to achieve our goal of strengthening civil society, achieving sustainable development and addressing inequalities. This partnership approach is central to how we seek to bring about change.

Our programmes bring together INTRAC’s core competencies of research, consultancies, training, conferences and publications.

The Praxis programme has set up a new HIV/AIDS in the workplace learning group.

Programmes can be geographical, thematic, or both. We aim to:

Strengthen civil society organisations and increase their capacity to design and manage their own organisational development and programme performance.
Strengthen the skills of individual volunteers, staff, leaders and trainers of our partners and consultants.
Bring about a stronger, more vibrant civil society sector with greater understanding and ability to influence events to bring about sustainable development and social justice.
Encourage cross-sector dialogue and participatory approaches.
Provide opportunities to put new ideas into practice, and refine our ways of working.
Provide opportunities for in-depth learning.

INTRAC has a solid track record and reputation in programme design and delivery. Our expertise has made a positive difference to local civil society and its performance.

For example, reviews and evaluations of our work in Central Asia, Cyprus and Africa, have demonstrated our ability to strengthen local civil society. The thematic materials and learning produced by Praxis Programme has been well-received by a wide range of practitioners.
