The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning online course will develop your skills in supporting monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) of projects and programmes – from programme design through to evaluation and impact assessment – and help you to tackle MEL challenges that you may be facing.

This course provides approximately 25 hours of training over 5 weeks and consists of a blend of ‘real time’ interactive live sessions led by our highly experienced trainers, individual activities and personal feedback from the trainers. It also includes collaborative group work, opportunities to interact with fellow participants on the INTRAC learning platform, and individual coaching to enable you to apply the learning to your work.

The course provides flexibility and enables you to take part in an INTRAC course with others without travelling. The timing of the live sessions is 1 PM GMT. Sessions are recorded and made available on our e-learning platform, so you can view them in your own time if you can’t join live. Course trainers:

Órla Cronin is an independent consultant, trainer and facilitator, working in the area of monitoring, evaluation, research and learning, as well as capacity development and strategic planning. She has a PhD in Psychology (Southampton University), a BSc in Psychology (University College London) and a Diploma in Humanitarian Assistance (University of Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine). She is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Alison Carney is an independent consultant, facilitator, advocate and researcher in sport for development and social change since 2002.  Alison has a Masters in Gender and International Development from the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex, UK, and a BA from Wellesley College, USA. Her research has been published in the International Review for the Sociology of Sport and Third World Thematics, as well as featured by the Institute of Development Studies.
