Jerry is a Monitoring and Evaluation specialist with a breadth and depth of experience as a consultant and senior manager in Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia working with NGOs, Bi-laterals and multi-laterals. He has expertise in developing appropriate and effective PME Systems which address the current issues of effectiveness, transparency, value for money and assessing ‘advocacy and influencing work’. He has worked with Transparency International on developing an impact monitoring framework and has engaged in large multi country evaluations for UN Agencies as well as worked with smaller INGO’s on specific programme and project reviews.
As a trainer his most recent experience has included developing and running tailor made M&E training courses and providing mentoring for Greenpeace, the Drylands Research Centre, CABI and Forum Syd. He has also developed PM&E courses for Forum Syd and the Danish Refugee Council that take a Blended Learning approach using the Blackboard Collaborate software package.
His experience as a trainer in planning, monitoring and evaluation is complemented by his up to date experience of developing and managing the PME systems for a large international NGO and his understanding of the issues and challenges that face NGO managers and field staff in developing and implementing appropriate M&E systems and processes. Whilst Head of Programme Effectiveness at WaterAid he led the development of the organisations M&E System, working with INTRAC to roll out the system to over 400 senior and middle management staff in 15 countries.
