We are a values-based not-for-profit with a mission to strengthen civil society organisations (CSOs), providing consultancy, training and research to support CSOs around the world to do what they do, better. We are at an exciting juncture as we look to develop our consultancy offer in line with movements to decolonise, shift power and localise, building on our highly respected monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) consultancy support.
As Senior Consultant – MEL you will play a central role in the design and delivery of INTRAC’s MEL offer. In this context you will win and develop consultancies building on your MEL expertise, working with network consultants, colleagues, partners and donors around the world. You will help build our global network of consultants, nurturing existing and new relationships, developing partnerships and securing resources to help us achieve our vision. You will have proven MEL expertise, working with funders, international and national organisations and a successful track record in bidding for and winning work. You will have a passion for civil society resilience, and highly value diverse perspectives and evolving narratives around MEL practice and how MEL can play a role in shifting power.
In return we offer you a competitive salary and benefits package, and a chance to work with a respected, values-based organisation contributing to more resilient civil society and social change. The role can be full time or part time (0.8 FTE). We work remotely, with occasional team together days in the UK and international travel required. Our long-term aspiration is to have staff members located across the globe, however, currently we can only directly employ people based in the UK, with a right to work in the UK. If you are based somewhere outside the UK and are interested in the role you would need to find a host organisation or join us on secondment. We would be happy to have a conversation with you to explore these possibilities.
We are actively encouraging racialised minorities, people with disabilities, returning parents or carers who are re-entering work after a career break, people with caring responsibilities, people from low socioeconomic backgrounds, to apply. This is because these groups are under-represented within our teams, especially at senior level, and we recognise and value the contributions members of these groups make to strong, creative and high performing teams. Having lived experience of Africa, Asia or the Middle East would be an advantage.
