Andy joined INTRAC in September 2019. He began his career as a communications intern for the Emergency Capacity Building (ECB) Project, based at the headquarters of Oxfam GB. Through the Project, six humanitarian agencies – CARE, Catholic Relief Services, Mercy Corps, Oxfam GB, Save the Children, and World Vision – collaborated to strenghten the capacity of their national staff. Prior to joining INTRAC, Andy was Marketing and Communications Officer for Cecily’s Fund, a small UK NGO which works through partners in Zambia to support orphaned and vulnerable children.

At Keele University, Andy earned a BA in Politics and International Relations (2010) and an MA in Diplomatic Studies (2011). His MA dissertation focused on the negotiations which resulted in the return of Hong Kong to Chinese sovereignty in 1997.

Andy leads on INTRAC’s external communications and manages our publications, website, mailings, and online events. He sometimes supports INTRAC consultancy work, especially with communications assistance (such as on the CSIF programme) and the production of new publications (for example through Strengthening Small Organisations with Big Ambitions). He also helps to support our internal communications and to maintain the M&E Universe.
