
Based in South Africa, Sareta is a seasoned financial professional and independent consultant with over 22 years of international and national experience in the development sector. Her expertise lies in Financial Management, Financial Sustainability, Grant Management, and Governance, advising NGO teams, leadership, and boards on implementing best practices for long-term impact and accountability.
Sareta has delivered training and consultancy services in more than 48 countries across Africa, the Caribbean, the US, UK, Europe, Asia, and the Pacific. She has a deep commitment to NGO capacity building, mentoring numerous non-profits toward greater financial effectiveness and resilience. Her work has also supported the successful establishment of social enterprises in Ethiopia and Sudan.
Previously, Sareta worked with legacy Mango and has been a Humentum Associate since 2004. From 2018 to 2023, she served as Humentum’s Regional Director for Africa, where she was responsible for ensuring client access to Humentum’s services, cultivating relationships, and building a strong stakeholder community across the continent. In March 2023, she transitioned back to her role as an Associate.
Sareta is also the Founder and Director of FR=SH NGO Training, an initiative focused on delivering practical, high-quality training in financial management and sustainability to NGOs and funders.
