Nigel is an international development consultant, specialising in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), particularly the design, implementation and maintenance of M&E systems.

In over twenty years working as a member of the INTRAC network, Nigel has carried out work on M&E systems for a variety of different organisations. Most of this work has been done with International NGOs and large, Southern NGOs. Nigel has also worked directly with institutional donors, UN bodies and private sector organisations.

Nigel is recognised as a thought leader on developing M&E systems and frameworks, especially at the organisational level and within complex programmes. He has written a number of papers on the subject, which are all available freely from the INTRAC website. Nigel authored many of the papers in INTRAC’s online M&E Universe tool.
