Victoriya Joined INTRAC in August 2022 as Training and E-learning Officer.

She is passionate about the international development sector after having lived and worked in rural areas of Philippines, Malaysian Borneo and Sri Lanka.

She holds an MA in Marine Management from the University of Sun Yat-sen in Taiwan. The focus of her studies and subsequent work as research assistant was on coastal communities in rural parts of the Philippines where she investigated barriers to climate change adaptation across parts of the country prone to extreme climate events. This experience was invaluable in understanding how donor-led projects worked at grassroot level as they showcased challenges and opportunities for improvement. The main interest of her research was community participation, key stakeholders involvement and socio-economic factors influencing them.

While with IUCN Sri Lanka, Victoriya was involved in assessment and evaluation of natural marine resources and livelihoods dependent on them. She assisted with workshop preparation and delivery on coastal resources governance in remote parts of the country.

In her role at INTRAC Victoriya ensures smooth running of training courses providing administrative support and producing live learning sessions.
