INTRAC is delighted to announce the appointment of Peter Sargent as interim Chief Executive, who begins work today.

INTRAC works with others to strengthen the capacity and engagement and effectiveness of civil society. Peter joins us as we adapt our focus and priorities to become increasingly relevant to the opportunities that have arisen for civil society in the global South.

At a time of increasing commitment to shifting leadership to local civil society,  INTRAC has a vital role to play in making this happen. We are really excited to have Peter on board and I look forward to working with him to help us do this in the most effective way.

Carolyn Miller, INTRAC Chair

Peter brings a wealth of leadership and hands-on experience in the international development sector, having worked as a practitioner, advisor and facilitator at all levels in a range of civil society organisations.  He has lived and worked in various countries in Africa and has supported civil society across the world as a consultant.

I am delighted to join the team at INTRAC as interim CEO. I am very much looking forward to building on the organisation’s strong reputation in strengthening civil society to challenge poverty and inequality wherever they exist.
